DJ / Producer / Visually Challenged / Space Cadette
Michael Van Natta, AKA Black Frames, is a Dallas based techno & house producer. Black Frames has shared the stages with industry legends including Destructo, Claude Von Stroke and Justin Martin. In 2017 he had the honor of being on the official Holy Ship 8.0 lineup. His strong support system of family, friends, & fans has allowed Black Frames to play some of the biggest clubs around the country including Space Miami, Webster Hall NYC and Beta nightclub in Denver. He's no stranger to festival stages as well, landing on the lineups of not only HARD's Holy Ship, but Insomniac's Something Wonderful and Dallas' own NYE festival, Lights All Night.
Michael began his musical career back in 2011 as a Dubstep DJ, he then transitioned to Dub/Electro/EDM/Trap. In 2013 he fell in love with house & techno and thus he found his true artistic identity. With a diverse genre background, Black Frames is able to adapt to all musical taste and is a natural artist fit for any line-up. His ability to read the crowd and keep them both engaged and entertained is one-of-a-kind. He’s released several tracks including a bass & future house piece called ‘Danger Zone’ out on Study Group Records. A huge G-House remix of Flosstradamus’ ‘Most Pit’ supported by Floss themselves. A heavy bass house remix of Zebra Katz ‘Imma Read’ that has destroyed many dance floors throughout Texas and a chunky bass house original ‘Do Yo Thang!’ that flirts with upbeat melodic tones layered with Missy Elliot vocals to keep you hooked!
Black Frames doesn’t just touch individuals with his music, but he changes entire communities. He has even thrown multiple charity events and raised over $2500 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in 2016. He currently has new tunes are on the way ranging from UK bass house to deeper progressive vibes. Black Frames is an uprising artist who has a unique ability to adapt with his audience. There are no limits for this rising star.
