Above all, because of his rousing live performances Habib Koité became one of the great stars of world music: a musician and storyteller, who makes his musical roots accessible to a wide audience with charisma and skill. A key to his success are i.a. his extended concert tours. Since 1994 he has given more than 1500 concerts worldwide at festivals, in concert halls, theaters and clubs.
