A propos de Jason Daniels Band
Mississippi-based and California-bred, Jason Daniels, is set to captivate audiences once again with the release of the Jason Daniels Band's latest instrumental single, Lurker, an ethereal blend of funk, latin, rock and blues that takes you on a journey into the soul, slated to launch on December 1, 2023.
Growing up in the Napa Valley town of St. Helena Jason Daniels discovered his passion for music at an early age. With a guitar in hand by the age of 8, he wrote his first song at 12. His uncles, George and Paul Richey, influential figures in the Nashville music scene, inspired him to pursue his musical journey. George Richey, a notable songwriter, penned hits like "The Grand Tour" and "A Picture of Me Without You" and was married to the legendary Tammy Wynette.
Daniels spent years playing music and creating adventures that inspired his first full-length album, Dashboard Visions and Rearview Reflections (October 2013). Recorded live at Nashville's iconic Bomb Shelter, Maverick Magazine praised the album as "full of soul and grit," while the Vail Daily described it as "music that makes you want to experience life to its fullest."
In 2012, Daniels found a new home in Jackson, Mississippi stating, "I wanted to breathe the air and drink the water", referring to his move to the "City with Soul".
In 2020, Daniels released his uplifting second studio album, Downloads From The Universe, recorded at Jackson's legendary Malaco Studios. During the challenging times of the pandemic, the album was hailed as “a breath of fresh air” by Take Effect Reviews, drawing comparisons to “the spontaneity of 1970s LPs from acts like the Grateful Dead and Delaney and Bonnie” by Americana Highways’ Jeff Burger.
Following the success of Downloads From The Universe, the band released the single Mystery Train (June,2021), showcasing their continued collaboration with Malaco's Chief Studio Engineer, Kent Bruce. Now, they're gearing up for the release of their latest single, Lurker, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Jax-Zen Studios in Jackson's Midtown Arts District.
Delighting fans with the Ramblin' Tour '23, spanning Colorado, Utah, and Nevada, despite a setback due to Daniels' experiencing a detached bicep resulting in surgery, the Jason Daniels Band is resuming their tour with shows in the South and Southeast, followed by a journey out West to new cities in New Mexico, Arizona, and California in March & April 2024.
The Jason Daniels Band, composed of Jason Daniels on Guitar/Vocals, Chris Nash on Keys/Organ, Rhys Korbin on Drums/BGV and Raidan Gable on Bass, pulls from another realm with their own inimitable blend of American Roots Music, seamlessly blurring the lines between psychedelic rock, country, blues and funk.
Don't miss the release of Lurker on December 1, 2023, as the Jason Daniels Band continues to weave their authentic and soulful musical expression that resonates with the human experience.
