Formed in September 2014 as a friends’ oath to pursue what their favourite Indie Bands had achieved, the band spent their first year together writing and preparing their debut EP ‘Dusk’ (May 2015). The overwhelming reception of the self-released EP, from a band who had spent merely 6 months playing live together; from regional radio play on BBC Introducing and a slot on The Great Escape Festival 2014, was enough to push the band forward with belief and to begin writing their second EP ‘React Reflect React’. The band went from impressive newcomers to established contenders in the Manchester Indie scene on the release of the second EP (February 2016), with national radio play on BBC Radio 6 Music for two tracks from the release, and credible festival slots across Manchester. Both EP’s are available through the Tourist Attractions Online Store and BandCamp. With the release of their sensational new single ‘Million Miles Away’, interest in the band around Manchester has increased greatly. From the latest release the band have been endorsed by the likes of Renowned Promoters This Feeling, Inspiral Carpet’s Clint Boon, BBC Introducing Manchester and various other big names. Tourist Attractions’ Single Launch, their debut Headline Show in Manchester at Gulliver’s was organised solely by the band and sold out a week before the event. The band have also supported some of the best upcoming Indie Bands in the UK, most notably Yonaka, Billy Bibby (former CATB), The Blinders, Cabbage and Broken Witt Rebels. The band have just played their first sold out headline show of 2017 at Aatma in Manchester with Emerging North, and plan to spend the time between then and their next gig in March writing more songs. With Tourist Attractions taking bigger strides into the music world and exploring new avenues on every track, there’s no doubt that the band will become a big contender amongst some of the best music to come out of Manchester this year.
