A propos de Glenn McLaughlin

Glenn McLaughlin is a musician in the DFW area. Born in Fort Worth, TX, his mother encouraged him to begin piano lessons at the age of 5. Glenn studied classical piano with Lorraine Tornow in Hurst, TX. At the age of 12, he played trumpet in middle school band. Additionally, outside of school, he took drum lessons. At nearly 16 years old, he began playing guitar and quickly took up gigs in his sister's western swing group, the Ginny Mac Band.

McLaughlin began college in Denton, TX pursuing a Jazz Studies degree from the University of North Texas. He continued playing gigs, touring extensively through the United States, and abroad to Europe and Mexico. He remained heavily involved in Western Swing, country and cowboy music, while expanding his musical education with music instructors Fred Hamilton, Tommy Nash, Tim Goynes, and Rodney Booth, in jazz harmony & improvisation.
