Sparta is my favorite band it's been great seeing the return to the stage over the past few years. This show was one that felt like a real connection between band and crowd. It was a great night filled with great people and incredible songs!

My best friend and I had the VIP experience, even though my friend was the only one to purchase a VIP ticket. Jim was so kind; he let me come in for the VIP experience even though I only had a regular ticket. The experience was something I'll never forget. I've been going through a very rough time these past few months, and this was the highlight of my year. I've been listening to Sparta and covering their songs since I was a kid. He's one of my favorite musicians, along with the rest of Sparta. We got to hang out with them before the show for about 20 minutes, but it felt like forever, and they are all very down-to-earth, amazing people. Sparta's music saved my life many times, and this event saved my life again. Thanks for everything, Sparta and The Bottleneck. That was the best night I've had in a very long time.

This is such a special album for me holds a tone of meaning. Jim was awesome dedicated a song to my brother.

I didn't know Sparta before this show but they were great. I loved their 90s grunge sound. Hopefully they play in my area again soon. I got to meet them at the merch table and the singer signed my wrist band. Cool guys!

Sparta is amazing live every time, they have the best energy and their sound has stayed strong since the first time I saw them. The crowd was big and hyped, a few assholes but not enough to ruin the night. Easy parking, no long a*s walks like a lot of other venues. The venue was nice, sound was good, we were in the back because we got there after the opener because we live far but we still had a good view. I’ve loved them for about 25 years. We saw the Wire Taps tour last year and this was our second Porcelain show. We did the meet and greet last November for our anniversary and Jim played our song solo and then dedicated it to us during the show. It was a next level experience. I made my husband promise me we will never miss them playing in So Cal 🤍

Great show. With the exception of a couple drunks in the crowd who needed their ears boxed out. If the venue can't control that, then we know next time to do it ourselves.

Honestly, I've never been to the Pearl but the sound there blew any venue of comparable size out of the water. I was surprised because it was a small space but it was great! And Sparta killed it of course!

Such a great live band! Before the show I wondered if it might sound like something is missing being preformed by a three piece. That couldn’t have been further from reality. The show was everything you could have hoped for and then more.

Amazing show and Jim was welcoming and a joy to meet. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Hopefully, they come to the Richmond, VA area in the future.

Cool little venue. Sparta was amazing. Such a wonderful vibe. Jim Ward is criminally under appreciated. Had fun watching the openers too.

Sparta was absolutely amazing. It was a dream come true to hear Wiretap Scars played in its entirety. Absolutely loved it.

They played the whole album front to back and it was incredible! The opener Zeta was pretty good too

I love Sparta and really appreciate Jim Ward. He deserves A LOT more audience and attention. So it was disappointing to see a relatively small crowd. But the crowd was great and sang along to all the tunes. But I missed the lead guitar parts while at the same time it was great to hear slightly stripped down versions. But probably a bit thin for people not familiar with their work. The show was pure, honest and intense.

Almost 21 years after watching Sparta play "Wiretap Scars" at a hole-in-the-wall venue in San Antonio, I felt so humbled to hear them play the soundtrack to so many memories I hold dear to this day. It was an evening of nostalgia and new memories.

Damn good show! Great musicians. Approachable and friendly musicians. Great venue layout and location and parking. Thumbs up to the venue staff too. 5 stars all around.

They are a great live band. I enjoyed their sound and groove more live than their records. Definitely worth seeing. The vocals were hard to hear, but that is on the sound crew, not the band.

Solid show. Missing 2nd guitar thinned out the sound. Zeta is a really cool live act, worth showing up early.

it was a great show. my dad informed me that Sparta was coming to town & were playing the day before my 31st birthday. both of us love music & we decided to go. somehow, it was my first time to Soda Bar. crazy right?! We showed up just as the opening act started playing. the Opening act, Bent Blue, was really good. they had that old school San Diego sound that i've gotten more & more into over the years. Then Sparta came on & just rocked the place! totally amazing show & i hope they come back soon I would definitely recommend Soda Bar as a venue, I would recommend the Dice ticketing app as easy to use & i would recommend Bandsintown as a great way to find out which artists are coming to town

Sparta was great. We left before the headliners because we came for Sparta, no disrespect. Always love the grog shop.
