Princeton Marcellis

Dallas native Princeton Marcellis grew up surrounded by music. His parents introduced him to legends like Michael Jackson, Prince, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, and Teddy Pendergrass, as well as hip-hop icons such as 2Pac, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun, DMX, and Ja Rule. Their love for music shaped his deep appreciation for both melody and lyricism.

At just five years old, Princeton began writing raps as a form of self-expression. While attending the University of North Texas, he pursued music seriously, determined to create songs with purpose. In a constantly evolving genre, he remains committed to delivering messages of hope. “My verses are about struggling and overcoming,” he says, aiming to uplift and inspire through his words.

Before completing his first EP, Princeton released “Promise”—a personal vow to hip-hop, family, and friends that he will always stay true to himself. Rooted in storytelling, faith, and resilience, his music turns pain into inspiration, staying true to the words of Tupac Shakur:

“Measure a man by his actions fully from the beginning to the end…”

Princeton isn’t just making music—he’s crafting a legacy of truth and hope.
