A propos de Rise Up Lights

An alternative outfit from Pensacola, Florida, Rise up Lights is vocalist Alex Arcari, guitarists’ David Kersey & Michael Cannon, bassist Shane Palag, and drummer Dylan Petitt. Shaped by diverse influences including The Used, Neck Deep, and I See Stars, their unique style fuses elements of post-hardcore, pop punk, and metalcore for a modern sound that still packs a punch of 2000s Warped Tour nostalgia. Rise Up Lights first debuted with their EP, ‘A Sunny Place for Shady People ,’ in the fall of 2016. Following a brief hiatus, they hit their stride in the scene in 2019 upon winning a Battle of the Bands competition hosted by Bayside, who they went on to open for at The House of Blues in New Orleans. That same year would see them performing as support for Northbound, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and We The Kings. The band’s latest studio recordings were produced by Jonathan Dolese (Skywalker, The Arbitrary, Emery Heights). They mark a sonic progression toward heavier elements and darker themes, laced in EDM accents for an electronicore-reminiscent sound. The first single from this new iteration, “Save Me,” dropped in November of 2020 and rapidly became their top-performing track. Their potential is only expected to grow through 2022 with the release of their EP, “Black Heart” with their lead single “Seasons,” which boasts guest vocals from Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.
