A night to remember. Power outage in the area caused a major delay, so we did not get a chance to see the opening act. Not a big deal though. I must say, the staff at the Belasco was super friendly and personable. They invited us to wait out on the patio and rooftop until the power outage was resolved. The only fault I would give them is that they should have considered those who were in the front rows to allow them to go back to where they were before we had to exit. Maybe give them a wristband or have the staff take a picture...something. Besides that, the staff was great. Kasabian came on not long after we were allowed to go back in.
NOW...ABOUT THE SHOW! Great energy! But the sound mixing was off. Sometimes, you could hear the bassist, sometimes, not. Sometimes, the singing was clear, sometimes, it was drowned. Even with the show starting late and no opener, the sound was the worst part of the show. Enough to lose 2 stars.
Very inconsistent sound quality. Not sure if it was the band, or the sound board.
Overall show was fun. From crowd interaction to energy, worth it! Glad I was a part of that evening because who knows when Kasabian will be back in LA!

A very lively show. Crowd was very engaged with lots of dancing , jumping and singing along. Never could understand how Kasabian did not become more popular in the States !
Their music resonates on so many levels and their setlist was a perfect fit !
If you were at this show and did not feel just a little bit better when you left, then I have no answers for you.

Their new album, "Empire", was released on the 28th of August 2006. The first single from the album, also titled "Empire", was widely regarded as a musical success, with its change of beat reminiscent of "Take Me Out", and its catchy chorus.
