Extince

Extince (also known as "Exter-O-naldus" or "De Exter") was one of the first Dutch language rappers in the Netherlands to appear in the Dutch music charts. Extince was born as Peter Kops in Oosterhout. One of his biggest musical influences as a child was Creedence Clearwater Revival.

His first successful song, "The Milkshake Rap", was written completely in the English language. His first song in Dutch, "Spraakwater" (literal translation: "speech water"), was an immediate hit upon its release in 1995. It contains samples from the famous Dutch children's television series "De Fabeltjeskrant". Another important Dutch hip-hop group, Osdorp Posse, recorded a dissing parody of "Spraakwater" called "Braakwater"(literal translation: "puke water").

Extince's second hit was "Kaal of Kammen" (literal translation: "bald or to comb"), released in 1996 as a response to "Braakwater". His first album, Binnenlandse funk was released in 1998. It's stay in the Dutch Top 40 lasted for two months, and peaked at number 12. One of the most popular songs on this album was "Viervoeters".

Extince released a second album, Vitamine E, in 2001. The most popular song of that album was "Grootheidswaan" (literal translation: "megalomania"). In January 2004, he released a third album, 2e jeugd (literal translation: "second youth"). His fourth and most recent album Toch? (literal translation: Right?) was released in 2007.
