Musical talent Funkerman is rapidly proving that love for music can make boundaries disappear. Present day the dj/producer is positively obsessed with making top tracks & together with Raf & Fedde le Grand they run their own independent record label, Flamingo Recordings.

Funkerman, real name Ardie van Beek, started of playing as a dj in 1990. At first hip hop and R&B took his vibe, but when Funk started influencing house music, he was instantly addicted to this musical expression. After doing the bedroom dj routine, he got his first weekly club residency in The Spock in Breda, The Netherlands. This club night gave him the opportunity to work on his sound, playing in a part of Holland where at that time no other club focused on house music.

With this residency came along more bookings and when Funkerman started out working in a record shop and after that for a few record labels as an A&R manager, he really got to know the music industry. With his great sense for good music in general & his very down-to-earth personality, he now tries to make a difference. Spinning the decks at the best clubs in The Netherlands & constantly working on better & bigger sets, he is now eager to explore the rest of the world.

Besides producing for his own label with his best friend Raf, they still stay committed to other labels too (like Stealth, the Roger Sanchez imprint). There is much to be expected from this man, who enjoys his ticket to freedom day by day. So keep enjoying the music!
