A propos de Phenomenon

Phenomenon band has a personal and original sound, which is the result of the band members’ musical preferences and experiences. Its style can be defined as „alternative metal” with „dubstep” influences. Founded on May 9th 2007 by band leader Andrei Balasa, the band has gone through some member changes, the present formula being made out of members who are willing to play and experience musically, who believe in their music above all else. The band has an excellent musical background, having had hundreds of concerts in Romania and foreign countries such as Belgium, Great Britain, Sweden, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Moldavia. It has participated and won many national and international contests and festivals. In 2009 PhenomenOn won Best Romanian Band in the international live contest „Global Battle of the Bands”, and it won the 7th place out of over 40 countries in the world final, which took place in London, UK, in 2010. It was also the support band for Ziua Chitarelor („Guitars’ Day”), unde where it played together with great guitarists: Guthrie Govan (UK), Matthias Ia Eklund (Sweden), Jose de Castro (Spaini). In 2011 the band represented Romania at the ‚Imagine” festival in Croatia, where they held a series of concerts, promoting their album „Victims of Changes”. In 2012 the band had the pleasure of playing on the same stage as the American band Linkin Park, being the opening act of their first East European concert. The band participated at a lot of festivals , some of them: Callatis 2009 (Romania - Mangalia) Stuffstock Vama Veche 2009, 2010 (Romania – Vama Veche) Global Battle of the Bands 2009 – as guests (Belgium - Anvers) Another Smiling Face 2010 - charity (Moldavia- Chisinău) Balkan Rock Zone 2010 (Bulgaria- Kyustendil) Posada 2011 (Romania - Campulung) Mc Trust Panorama 2011 (Romania - Ghelari) Green Rock Fest 2010, 2011, 2012 (Bulgaria - Ruse) Bikers Weekend Panorama 2012 (Romania - Ghelari) Dracula Revolution 2012 (Romania – Deva, Hunedoara) Black White Motor Fest 2010, 2011, 2012 (Romania - Lehliu) Camp Moto Rock Second Edition 2013 (Romania – Bacău ) PhenomenOn played together with big names of the Romanian music, such as: Phoenix, Compact, Iris, Timpuri Noi, Zdob & Zdub, Vița de Vie, Bucovina, Trooper, Coma etc. It also performed on the same stage as TM Stevens (SUA), Stevie Salas, G–Man, Delmar Brown (SUA), Madame Hooligan(SUA).
