amazing setlist and bastille were on top form! issue was the venue really wasn’t fit for purpose. don’t get me wrong i’m all for small intimate gigs but it was over 40°c in there even away from the pit and it’s the middle of the winter. if there was ac it really wasn’t working and there definitely wasn’t any fresh air coming in. i’m sure the foundry serves it purpose as a nightclub but as a concert venue packed to capacity it just wasn’t safe, people fainting left right and centre.
I travelled from Argentina for this tour and this was my 7th time seeing them live. It has been my favorite theater to see them perform: beautiful! And the staff were really helpful since early in the day for those of us who attended the Doom Days experience (best soundcheck EVER!). About the show, I can only say that it was amazing, as always, and I really enjoyed being in 3rd row. Joywave were outstanding, too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best concert I've ever been to. Bastille is the first performer I've seen that took the stage precisely on time- which really shows respect for their audience. Then they performed their butts off. Excellent music. Thanks Dan Smith never stopped singing, constantly made a point of moving about to keep eye contact with audience members, even walking out *into* the audience for one song! They didn't even leave the stage to try that "beg us to come back for an encore" thing. They just told us they'd keep playing, and play they're entire show all the way through without leaving the stage... Again showing consideration for the audience and humility, also just an obvious live for the music. They were great every moment. I would see them again in a heartbeat, and pay extra for the VIP package. Massive respect for this band.
An incredible performance! Not just from the main act of Bastille but even the opening act (Joywave) was incredible. Bastille played their new album plus their major hits that everyone knows. The lead singer even ran around Chicago Theater while singing to interact with the crowd. Amazing vocals and acoustics, gorgeous theatre, and just an uplifting experience that everyone should experience with these guys. Loved it.
Well the show itself was amazing regarding the lighting and performance of Bastille. He's an amazing performer. However at circa 40 quid a ticket the venue wasn't planned very well, because the venue was oversold. There was barely any space to stand. Then acoustics of O2 academy Brixton aren't the best. I believe they could accommodated more people at Alexandra palace.
Bloody brilliant, I love these lads so much, Woody was clearly very happy to be performing in his home town, because it was so close to home a lot of people from my school went and everyone really enjoyed it, such a great atmosphere and Kyle parading around with a Devon flag is my aesthetic, Dan dancing is beautiful and Will is just a legend x
