Why does anyone buy expensive seats, and talk during the ENTIRE concert. Yes, you in seat Q28. You ruined the concert for all around you. What ever happened to concert etiquette? Talk to your friends BEFORE the concert and keep you mouth shut and listen to the music. That is why everyone else is here!!! I've seen Van Morrison before, however it has been more than 10 years, so I was aware that as a personality, he rates about a minus 5. He makes it up with a tight band that plays great music. A wide variety of jazz and blues covers with plenty of short solos by his talented back up band.

As a long time Van Morrison fan, I’m accustomed to his desire to perform whatever music he likes at any time of his choosing. This tour was no exception. He performed primarily “Americana” standards with a well chosen set of musicians who worked to keep up with his evert changing mood of the song and the audience. For me, it was an excellent show, really well performed. Yes it lacked a “greatest hits” performance except for reworked versions of “Gloria” and “Into the Mystic”, but the song choices were wide and varied and showed off the bands musianship. Overall, an excellent performance and worth the money.

I wouldn't know. It's not easy to find out what, when,where, w/whom any artist is doing anything ANYWHERE BY THE ARTIST OR VENUE AS it used to be. Glad to see a 'waste' of paper - maybe if there was a way to notify each email - automatically - w/in a month or two of each week as a block of events - per Artist/Venue.

Good show. This was a bucket list show for me. His vocals were good. Played a lot of covers and a couple of his new material.

Starting a little bit ‘too Skiffle’ in my opinion but this show moved finally to it’s top by a lot of improvisation of such splendid artists like f.e. Joe Brown, Leth Lakeman and of course the all the other crew members ( of which I don’t know the names ) but especially as an apotheosis the mindblowing DANA MASTERS ( backing vocals ) !!!! Great evening !

Van Morrison’s Moving on Skiffle will be an amazing release. The preview we saw at the Electric Ballroom on January 15, 2023 was awesome. The band’s performance was flawless - instruments, vocals, energy, all top notch. So grateful for this very special experience.

Great performance by Tom Jones and Van Morrison!!! People around us were totally wasted and talked through much of the show but I learned to tune them out. Perfect evening with two musical legends!!! Van had a great vibe and I was happy that he didn’t play only his most popular and known songs. Loved every song! Great venue too!

Van the Man was fabulous! He is a true artist and musician. Those just waiting to hear his big hits may not be happy but his voice was great,such a talented band and a great performance!!

Seems like there was some problem that made Van Morrison unhappy. And he left the stage before the show ended. In my opinion, this is unacceptable.

His voice is stiill good but his performance very perfunctory. No interaction with the audience. Didn’t sing “Moonlight” and left it to other band members to introduce themselves at the close of the show. Don’t know if he is just eccentric or bad tempered. Venue was excellent although seemed to take a long time after the gates were supposed to open before patrons were let in.

I might as well have been at home watching on the TV. 1st time I have felt this way about a concert. Not even an acknowledgement that he had an audience. Nothing spontaneous, just a set piece. Very disappointed.

In a word: Excellent! Hit the stage at 8:00 sharp, went from one song to another in a 90 minute set. Voice was dead on, band was TIGHT!

We attended Sunday night's concert. The venue was beautiful, and Van's supporting band was great. But Van did not interact with the audience at all. He did play a very long set, but I felt he seemed a bit disconnected, like performing had become a job for him, not a joy. The last number was great, but was basically performed by his band without him, and then the lights came on and the concert was over. It was strange. And he did NOT perform Moondance, which is what I came to hear. The other songs he played that were popular for him were just ok. Just being honest. I know he's an icon in the music business, but I wouldn't go see him again.

Fantastic show! We’ve seen Van a few times but not in about 20 years. He is at the top of his game now, never sounded better. Of course being in the Ryman was a big part of the experience, what a great venue. Does anyone know who was the guest singer who came on for a couple of songs?

Fantastic nights entertainment from evergreen Van with super-tight band. Still at the top of his game, singing fabulously. Pacing was break-neck as they punched out song after song without a pause, reaching across his entire songbook. We loved it!

Spectacular. Van sounded like his old self. Third night in Chicago and a very good setlist, musicians that were clearly enjoying playing off one another, as demonstrated by the sequence and mix of solos. Whether vocals, vibes, or the pedal steel guitar, the Hammond organ and Van all over their range, it was a delight. the Bass and the jazz guitar and drummer rounded out the wonderful performances. The musical director, the trumpet player/keys/organist should be commended. The female backing vocals variously brought harmonies and support to the whole ensemble. Van played sax, guitar, harmonica, piano and led with his vocals. We sang along, and it was especially a treasure to share a poignant moment with my very own Brown Eyed Girl." The finale, "Gloria," allowed the band to show off, as Van left the stage after leading the audience in the chorus' spelling test and a sax solo. Each musician showed some chips, as the marimba/vibes percussionist competed with the drumkit for the simple spotlight, bringing it to a close exactly at 10:00 pm. The show opened just after 7:30 with The James Hunter Six, a talented long-time friend of Van's, that offered a range of bluesy and soulful R&B, with a seasoning of what could be called a rockabilly twang.

Sound was fine. But no Gloria! He was on it. The Sax and Harmonica sounded nice, trumpet player and vibes were very very good.

What an experience to see Van Morrison in such a small venue, his voice is so rich and powerful after all these years amazing

Been to c Van twice. Once in London & Dublin. Both times was absolutely amazing. Loved his music for years. My son who has autism went with me on the Dublin one. He loved every minute of it. Hoping to c him again soon!

He was good but ran very quickly through his tunes then left the stage at this point in his life I wish he had a few stores to tell between a few of the songs. $300 for good seats and $100 for balcony I'd had hoped he would engage a little. All in all good classic tunes well played
