Los Angeles native Shane Mowrer is WZRD. It's hard to deny the influence on young artists the lush musical soundscape of LA provides. While growing up on a steady diet of essential West Coast hip-hop from the likes of Snoop and Dre, early experimentation with different genres and eras led him to his unique ear for sound. After refining his skills at local parties and private events, WZRD began his first major foray onto the scene in 2011, when he became the youngest DJ to hold a residency at Lucky Strike in Downtown Los Angeles. As his reputation expanded, he held down gigs at major events like REVOLT Live, BET Experience, and the LA Pride Festival. WZRD is one of the most versatile DJs in the vast LA music scene. Bringing a high energy blend of beats from hip-hop to house, pop to old school funk, he has dug out his own niche as a go-to party spark plug.
