Die Band spielte ihr längstes Konzert aller Zeiten – und man spürte von der ersten Sekunde an, dass sie gekommen waren, um keine Gefangenen zu machen. Was als solide Rockshow begann, verwandelte sich immer mehr in eine entfesselte, verschwitzte, verschmitzte Orgie aus purem musikalischem Wille und ungebremster Spielfreude. Die Leslies kochten wie ein Motor kurz vorm Explodieren. Die Keys – normalerweise schon eine Spezialität der Saints – entfalteten sich diesmal zu einer epischen, beinahe rituellen Klangorgie, die die Halle in flüssiges Licht verwandelte. Die Gitarre riss Grenzen ein, schleuderte Riffs und Soli in die Stratosphäre und brachte selbst die kühnsten Rockgeister zum Staunen. Und der Percussion-Groove: unbeirrbar, erdig, mächtig – das pulsierende Herz, das dieses gesamte musikalische Raumschiff zusammenhielt. Natürlich fehlten die Klassiker nicht – Hymnen, die jeder im Publikum im Herzen trägt. Doch die Saints legten noch ein paar Überraschungsdiamanten dazu: unter anderem das neue „Snakes in the Alleys“, das live so giftig und lebendig klang, als würde es schon seit Jahren die Setlists dominieren. On 2 May, concert number eight took place in the elegant Konservi in Seon, complete with dinner and a custom “Basement Saints” wine. And yes, the Saints delivered once again: 19 songs across two sets, including classics like Fine by Me, Night Owl, and Sunflower Seeds. Stories came alive in Buccaneer and Boots, and two new tracks—Dreams and RNR—offered a promising glimpse into their future sound. Musical Easter eggs nodded to Pink Floyd and The Doors, and the night reached its peak with the majestic Highway Lines and a moving finale: House of the Rising Sun. There’s not a single weak track in their set—each one arena-worthy. Molly’s drumming, now more central, is precise yet soulful, the quiet engine of the band. Anton’s voice—rich in blues, soul, and gospel—is the best in rock today, matched by his ever-evolving guitar work. And Robby on the keys? A one-man storm, fusing joy, skill, and unpredictability. Basement Saints are not retro; they are the now of rock. Among Swiss bands, none rival their innovation and energy. Catch them live in 2025—you won’t regret it.

The Saints delivered 19 powerful songs, from classics like “Fine by Me” and “Night Owl” to pirate anthems and the majestic new track “Dreams.” Musical Easter eggs nodded to Pink Floyd and The Doors, and “Highway Lines” opened with an organ intro worthy of Jon Lord himself. Drummer Molly, now more central without bass, played with precision and presence, anchoring every song with understated brilliance. Anton’s voice—bluesy, soulful, rock to the core—is the best in the business, and his guitar work continues to evolve with every performance. Robby on keys is pure electricity: playful, explosive, unpredictable. His solos? Legendary. His flying pirate hat? A tradition. But it’s the chemistry between Anton and Robby—fiery, melodic, epic—that truly lifts this band beyond comparison. Forget retro. This is now-rock at its finest. Have you been there when Hendrix played Woodstock - nope? Neither did I, but I will now be able to say for the rest of my live and beyond that I was there when the Basement Saints played their last 2024 concert serie of presenting their new 10/10 Album "Down South". Experience those 3 Rock Pirates live is more than a Tsunami, its just 2 sweaty hours of keyboard loaded beautiful soulful rock. If you missed it, then make sure you check for their concerts in 2025 - If you did not like it, I pay you back your ticket money.

The best Rock band of all time emerging from the heart of Switzerland - The saints of Rock. classic trip with hard hitting drums by Simon, a freaky cool guitar, by Anton a super crazy in the best sense truly incredible keyboarder with an old style Hammond by Robby and then the creme on the top the rough and beautiful, even mechancholic voice of Anton. It just makes the authentic and true rock mix and every second is too enjoy, to swag, to dance and in some cases even a bit of headbanging. Get this band into the Hallenstadion and it will fly to mars driven by the energy of this trio from heaven. Get their vinyl send in a pizza box, get yourself the honor to experience them live (3 more gigs in 24 - 25 are available) - just dont miss it or else, dont call yourself a rock fan.

The concert was super dude, as always with the pirates from Basement Saints. For me the best Rock Band from Switzerland playing old school gospel, guitar and keys rock like ol' Titanic. I was waiting years for a band like this to reappear and being with Basement Saints live is like a thunderstorm and just plain ROCK time. The band will go their way up the Rock heaven and hopefully will get the chance to play as support gig for one of the greats (for Example Deep Purple or Hollywood Vampires would be a match) and then go beyond all rock horizons. Once experienced and seen you won't forget them anymore. Its just super super great musicianship and great guys
