Carolyn is possessed. She plays her instruments in an otherworldly manner and does so seemingly without effort. Her singing is reminiscent of Tracy Nelson of the 60s. Quite a pleasurable evening was had by all 17 music fans in attendance. Yes, that’s correct, 17. I’m sorry Milwaukee but this is a stain on our city, not coming out on a Thursday night to support some first class live music. Wait until rooms like Shank hall close and it’s only corporate venues. Anyway, great show. Ya should have been there.

Let me start by saying this.... I booked Carolyn Wonderland for the Athens Summer Concert Series in Athens, N.Y. early in 2023. I contacted her and said the following, "pick any date you want, i want you to perform in Athens and you have dibs on all of the dates that are available". I knew that she was going to so impress the fans that they were going to talk about it for weeks. Carolyn & her band performed on Friday September 1. 2023, It's only been 5 days thus far but let me tell you, people are still raving about Carolyn Wonderland, begging me to book her again for next year! If i have my way and she's available, that just might happen. Carolyns guitar prowess and stellar vocals are highly regarded and respected across the globe. We have had many great bands over our 20 years of producing free concerts at our Athens Riverfront Park and Carolyn Wonderland is most definitely at the top. Let me add, Carolyn had injured her foot days prior to her performance in Athens, she had to sit for the entire show. She came out for 2 encores and after the show she autographed C.D.s & Albums, took photo's with fans until everyone of them were gone. That tells me so much about her commitment and appreciation to her fans and her music... Thanks you so very much Carolyn, safe travels my friend. Carolyn Wonderland will part your hair with her powerful voice and on fire guitar! In addition to her awesome musical abilities, she is a lot of fun on stage. A little story here and there or making fun of herself. It was a grand time in a great venue.

Carolyn Wonderland, Shelly King and their awesome bass player and drummer NGL they make the tightest band I've heard since LIttle Feat on the Waiting for Columbus Tour -- they've obviously been playing together for a looooong time -- and of course Carolyn's amazing vocals and solo blues guitar work is stellar. Shelly's vocals add an amazing harmonic shine. Started with Carolyn's number about Texas girls' boots. Penultimate number Garcia's Loser -- but 10x better than I ever heard it before, even from JGB themselves.

I’ve seen Carolyn 4 times in 3 different states and she never disappoints. Last night was very special and puts her on my “never miss “ list!

Absolutely an amazing night of music. Carolyn and her band are so incredibly talented. We very much enjoyed the show.

Fabulous show! Deeply rooted in the blues, Carolyn plays free as bird. There were some amazing sounds coming out of that Gibson Blueshawks. These folks love what they are doing, and it comes through.

Carolyn sounded great and her rendition of “Loser” was off the hook, gave me the chills! Her laps steel sounded great too…. Bought the new album on vinyl! Great to see her again… been following her since she was 18 playing clubs in Houston.

As usual, Carolyn Wonderland and her band with Rosie Flores did a great job. The music was great, and the crowd enjoyed hearing Carolyn belt out song after song with that high raspy voice that is her signature style. Look forward to seeing her again soon.

Show was great!. She must be the best rock/blues female guitarist around today and such a voice.

As always SUPREME magical (think hula hoop magic) music and the absolute top guitar and vocals around and this was in Austin so the bar is high (as was most of the crowd). The three piece band is wonderful great talents also. Premium top of the game music. With my beautiful magical daughter high over Lake Travis with perfect weather and beautiful sunset Carolyn just poured out High Energy and Vibes that had a huge croud all in sync and moving. Peace and love!Can't possibly do credit to this Texas Queen of Blues and her own style which is like none other. I've been a fan since she was an underage little Hippy Chick at the Last Concert Cafe in Houston which was way back and every show is better than the last. She regularly tours the world and you will do yourself a big favor to track and experience. You'll agree!Mark D👍♥️

The Heights Theatre was officially cleansed and reborn after Carolyn Wonderland's explosive, yet healing performance. A true Texas treasure...

She played with her three piece band and it was awesome! Hard driving Rock and beautiful Blues by certainly one of the best guitar players around. She is a finger picking master and a voice which knows no limits. I live in Austin, I'm lucky and I'll still say she is the best around. Go look up her schedule and see her. They are just back from Europe and covering a lot of the US soon.

It was absolutely amazing and awesome in every way possible.Carolyn is a fine musician.She plays electric guitar a lap steel guitar a trumpet and can sing so beautiful. She truly is very very gifted.Go see her then you will know the magic I am talking about.
