A propos de Apella
"Without a doubt one of the country’s hottest new acts, delivering finely produced radio hits" – Stuart Clark, Hot Press
Apella are a two-piece contemporary rock group formed in Dublin now in New York consisting of singer/guitarist Dara Quilty and drummer Ronan Nolan.
Apella burst onto the scene with their debut single ‘We Met At A Party’ to huge support from both national and regional radio stations, the track is a serious declaration of intent from the group; who’ve previously shared a stage with the A-List likes of Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, 30 Seconds To Mars, and even Bon Jovi in their past.
It’s no wonder then that Apella arrived fully formed and ready to win musical hearts and minds. ‘We Met A Party’, the preceding single ‘Graceful Dancer’ and their latest radio success ‘Point Of View’ make you want to hit the ‘repeat’ button as soon as they finish. That type of smart, sassy writing from Quilty is repeated throughout their parent album, which showcases the duo’s new and ever expanding sound. With much more to come from, Apella are a band to keep your eye on and ears open to.
Now living in New York City Dara Quilty started the band after his previous endeavor Fox Avenue came to an organic end. He knew with the plethora of experience he gained he had to up his game and that’s when he called upon Ronan Nolan to begin Apella.
What’s interesting about Apella is the music absolutely came first. After spending years writing and producing songs the pair independently recorded their debut album before they even had a name. Ronan will blame Dara for taking so long to name the band.

Quilty had an obsession with recording a full album before releasing Apella’s debut album and that’s exactly what he did.
The album is set to be released on January 29, 2021.
