A propos de The Leftovers

There are three bands with the name, The Leftovers

(1)An American pop punk trio from Portland, Maine, made up of Kurt Baker (bass, vocals), Andrew Rice (guitar, vocals), and Adam Woronoff (drums). The band formed in 2002, and gained a following by releasing a (now out of print) E.P. entitled Mitton Street Special. A year later they released their first full length album, 2004's Stop, Drop, Rock n Roll. Their next album, 2006's Party Tonight, gained them praise from pop punk legends such as Ben Weasel from Screeching Weasel, and Larry Livermore, founder of Lookout Records and also of the band The Lookouts, who have both praised the band on their respective blogs. In 2007 the band released their third album On the Move. The album was recorded at Butch Vig's Smart Studios and was produced by Ben Weasel.

In addition to playing with The Leftovers, drummer Adam Woronoff has also played in The Queers.

(2) A Brisbane, Australia, based punk band from 1976. Around 1976 the The Leftovers formed, to eventually gain local cult fame due to the stories of the band's existentialist approach to life. “Everybody was starting to get really bad drug habits and walking over each other's backs to finance the habits”[8] said The Leftovers’ guitarist, Ed Wreckage, of their demise in a 2000 interview. The Leftovers were plagued by many disasters including regular raids by the Police. In 1979, they released their only single, “Cigarettes and Alcohol” and generally are considered part of Brisbane's seminal punk history. Most of the members, including Warren Lamond, their singer, have now passed away through tragic circumstances.

(3) A Rock and roll/Punk band from West Wales in the U.K who appeared on the charity release Their Hearts Caught Fire with a cover of Mr Barfly by The Dogs D'amour.
