A propos de Keelan Donovan

Keelan Donovan
With infectious melodies, quiet confidence, and a wicked sense of humor, Keelan Donovan knows how to light up a room. Since first hitting the road in 2014, the Maine-born and Nashville-based troubadour has logged over 600 shows across 48 states and four countries, sharing stages with The All-American Rejects, Ben Rector, Matt Nathanson, and Tenille Townes. His music has landed on Spotify’s coveted “New Music Friday” and “Weekly Buzz” playlists, while also appearing in ABC’s Nashville and the trailer for The Hero starring Sam Elliott.
Keelan’s latest single, The Gardener, marks a new chapter in his career—his first independent release since parting ways with his publisher of eight years. Influenced by The Beatles, Paul Simon, and Arlo Guthrie, the song explores the balance between music and marriage, serving as both an apology and a promise. Produced by Kevin Kadish (All About That Bass, Whiskey Glasses), The Gardener showcases his ever-evolving songwriting, blending folk storytelling with modern indie-pop charm.
Keelan’s journey began when he picked up a guitar after seeing a play about Buddy Holly in middle school. While studying at the University of Maine, he honed his chops playing covers at bars and frat parties, before making the leap to Nashville to refine his craft. By 2016, he signed with Big Yellow Dog Music, and his 2017 self-titled EP delivered the Top 40 Hot AC hit “Touch and Go.”
Now based in Austin, TX, Keelan continues to carve his own path, writing songs that feel as personal as they are universal. Whether performing in an intimate club or on a festival stage, his goal remains the same: to connect.
“I want people to think of me as a real person and hopefully even as a friend,” he says. “That makes the songs relatable. It all comes back to honesty—on stage, in the studio, and in life.”
