BIOGRAPHIE (English version of the biography hereunder)

Fred Alpi, chanteur-guitariste, crée
The Angry Cats en 2008 parce qu'il a envie
d'un power-trio rock chantant en anglais.
Composé de line-up successifs afin de diversifier
les aventures musicales et humaines, The Angry Cats
cumulent ainsi des centaines de concerts, des
dizaines d’heures de studio, des expériences
tous azimut et une solide culture musicale.
Influencé à la fois par le Rock’n’Roll, le
Punk-Rock, le Texas-blues, la Musique
Industrielle ou encore le Stoner Rock, le son
du trio est très personnel, à la fois classique
et dopé par une énergie multiforme et
révoltée, celle du Rock depuis ses origines.
The Angry Cats jouent à la fois dans les
réseaux alternatifs de France, de Suisse ou
d’Allemagne, comme sur des scènes prestigieuses,
au Jazz Festival de Montreux ou encore à l’Olympia
à Paris.
Après deux EP, leur premier album "Outmonster
the Monster" reçoit en 2016 un accueil très
chaleureux, avec 4 étoiles dans Rolling Stone
et 3 étoiles dans Rock & Folk notamment.
Le groupe prépare actuellement son prochain
album.

BIOGRAPHY

Fred Alpi, singer and guitar player, creates
The Angry Cats in 2008 because he wants a Power
Trio singing in English. Composed with several
successive line-ups in order to diversify musical
and human adventures, The Angry Cats cumulate
hundreds of gigs, dozens of hours in recording
studios, experiences of all kinds and a strong
musical culture.
Influenced by Rock’n’Roll, Punk-Rock,
Texas-blues, Industrial Music or Stoner Rock,
the band’s sound is very personal, both classic
and doped by a multiform energy of revolt,
the same sense of protest that has defined
Rock music from the start.

The Angry Cats are playing as part
of the Alternative scene in France,
Switzerland or Germany, as well as at
prestigious venues such as the Montreux
Jazz Festival or the Olympia in Paris.
