Martina Eisenreich is a German composer and musician. In Germany, she is one of the most frequently performed composers in orchestral concert series. Her wide-ranging musical background and dramaturgical approach also led her to film music. In 2024, she was awarded the German Film Music Award for the second time for One Trillion Dollars. This score was written in close collaboration with Barcelona based composer Michael Kadelbach, and it is currently being released by Lakeshore Records USA. In 2020, Eisenreich was awarded the German TV Academy Award and a double nomination for the German TV Awards. Before that, she became the first woman to win the German Film Music Award for Tatort Waldlust, which the film and opera director Axel Ranisch shot to her symphony written especially for it. Martina then wrote the film music for Axel's opera feature film "Orphea in Love", which won the Grand Prix Golden Prague in 2023. A joint commissioned work for Vienna Opera will be next. Her soundtrack to Pia Strietmann's political thriller "Herrhausen" has just been released. And Florian Baxmeyer's movie "Bach - A Christmas Miracle" with her music will soon be broadcast on ARD. Today, Eisenreich’s work includes mainly filmscores and cocert works around the world, from Nibelungen Festspiele to Los Angeles New Music Festival. Before that, she toured Europe for about 2000 concerts with her own ensemble. At the age of 15, she was accepted to study classical composition at the Munich University of Music and later studied film music in Munich and Ludwigsburg. Her first symphonic filmscore for "Moonman" (2006) was immediately included in the concert repertoire of the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. Since then, Martina Eisenreich has worked with renowned ensembles such as the hr Symphony Orchestra, the Thomanerchor Leipzig and the Hollywood Filmscoring Orchestra in Los Angeles. Martina has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Upper Bavarian Culture Award in 2022, The Award of German Record Critics' and the Rolf-Hans Müller Prize. In 2007, two films with her music were nominated for the Student Academy Award, Neverore won it. In addition to teaching at Munich University of Television and Film, Martina serves on the board of DEFKOM (German Film Composers Union) and is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie, the German Composers Association, and the AWFC (Alliance for Women Film Composers) in Los Angeles. She supports charity events benefiting children in need worldwide and collaborates with PLAN International.
