ENG: Elara is a solo project born in 2007, after the break-up of the Italian metal hardcore band Mildewed in which Luigi had been the guitar player for 5 years. The break-up was probably the consequence of an ongoing change in his style and music concept and moreover, soon after that, it came a moment of breathing space, the quest of peace and serenity. The first EP, entitled “Starry night in a cold November” and released in February 2008, had a great success, especially within the cinematographic circuit. At the beginning of 2011 the solo project became a band. Alessio (bass – ex Ze Monsta, When Robins Come Back, Île) and Vincenzo (drums – ex When Robins Come Back, Île) joined the project and together they started a new journey where the old songs were played with a new sound mixing ambient, post-rock and classical music. In September 2012 the band signed for Fluttery Records and recorded a brand new 3 songs EP at the Domination Recording Studio based in the Republic of San Marino. Afterwards Greg Calbi, Senior Mastering Engineer at the Sterling Sound of New York, completed the mastering of the EP. “Soundtrack for a quiet place” EP was born in February 2013. During the 2014, the band started writing a concept album on the creation of the universe. The writing process took almost an year and during the summer 2015 the band recorded 3 new tracks at the Propulsion Agency based in Cecina (Italy) and mastered by Birgir Jón Birgisson at Sundlaugin Studio in Mosfellsbær, Iceland. In November 2015, Elara is set to release “In the depths of Time, in an ocean made of stars”. ITA: Elara nasce inizialmente come un progetto solista agli inizi del 2007 dopo lo scioglimento della band metal-hardcore Mildewed di cui Luigi ne è stato il chitarrista per 5 anni. E proprio l’allontanamento da questa, la ricerca di un momento di riflessione, di un momento di pace e tranquillità, ha causato l’enorme cambiamento nello stile e nella concezione della musica. Nel 2008 quindi vede la luce il primo Ep "Starry night in a cold November" che riscuote un discreto interesse principalmente dal settore cinematografico. All'inizio del 2011 il progetto viene portato in una band ed a Luigi si affiancano Alessio (basso - ex Ze Monsta, When Robins Come Back, Île) e Vincenzo (batteria - ex When Robins Come Back, Île). Insieme iniziano un percorso nel quale gran parte dei brani precedentemente composti vengono completamente riarrangiati dando vita ad un sound che abbraccia ambient, post-rock e musica classica. La band decide quindi di chiudersi in studio presso il Domination Recording Studio di San Marino per registrare un EP di tre brani la cui fase di mastering verrà successivamente affidata a Greg Calbi, Senior Mastering Engineer presso lo Sterling Sound di New York. A Settembre 2012 firmano per l'etichetta statunitense Fluttery Records. Il 1 Febbraio 2013 nasce "Soundtrack for a quiet place". Durante il 2014, la band inizia a scrivere un concept album sulla creazione dell'universo. Il processo di scrittura e rifinitura dura quasi un anno e, durante l'estate 2015, la band si chiude in studio presso il Propulsion Agency di Cecina (LI) e registra un album di tre pezzi per la durata di circa 30 minuti. La fase di mastering verrà successivamente assegnata a Birgir Jón Birgisson del Sundlaugin Studio di Mosfellsbær, Islanda.
