Colin gave a fantastic performance. The venue is perfect, there is a great ambiance, the parking is free and easy, and the sound - is perfect! A mix of songs from Men at Work and many of his newer works, which I love! He mixed in personal stories and was generally pretty funny. SO and I had a fantastic time, and hope to see him again.

Always a great show at the Colonial Theater; never a bad seat, and friendly staff. Colin Hay was excellent; first time I've seen him in concert. His voice still has the same range as back in the 80's, which is pretty amazing in my opinion! Hearing acoustic versions of his Men at Work hits was fantastic, and of course, his solo work is great as well. Finally, he had great stories to tell between the songs, which shows you a different side of the artist. I highly recommend Colin Hay's shows to anyone out there reading this!

This was my first time seeing Colin Hay. Obviously, most people know him from Men At Work, but remarkably, he has flourished - holding his own as a solo performer. In addition to a few "mandatory" M@W pieces, his show is full of warm, funny stories that are woven effortlessly into his masterful songwriting and storytelling. Hurry up and go see him!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Not many artists can perform solo and captivate an audience, but Colin Hay sure can. His warm, genuine in his stage presence as he tells stories, sings, and interacts with the audience. I’ve never seen him live before and I’ve been to over 100 live shows so far; I could have listened to him for hours. 70 years young and such strength in his voice! Makes me wish I would have seen him much much sooner. Amazing!

It wasn't the Colin Hay show, or else I would have made sure to be there. It was Ringo's all star band, which included Colin. I would have loved to have been there, but the scalpers were allowed to buy up all the seats to re-sell them. I was not going to pay 3 to 4 times the regular price to line the scalpers pockets. I saw this show a few years ago, and was excited to see it was coming back, until I saw what had happened with the scalpers. It's a shame that someone (the venue, or whoever) allowed that to happen.

I just moved to Phoenix from Nashville and I can say that the Celebrity Theater is as good or better than any venue in Nashville! Every seat in the house is within 30 rows of the stage, all the way down to the free and abundant parking on site, drink prices, etc. The show was excellent, Colin Hay who I've seen many times was as good as ever and got the loudest applause from the crowd. The rest of the band delivered exactly what you would expect, excellence!

Wonderful concert! Colin was in fine voice and was supported by a tight band. The setlist included original songs from his long solo career, including "Waiting For My Real Life to Begin" and "Beautiful World."He also performed a few covers of songs that were important to him as he was growing up, including Dusty Springfield's "I Just Don't Know What To Do" and "Waterloo Sunset" from the Kinks. Each song was introduced with a short story about its importance. He also included a newer song and an instrumental in honor of his late father. Of course, a Colin Hay concert is incomplete without him covering songs from Men at Work. Traveling down memory lane included M@W classics such as "Down Under," "Overkill," "It's a Mistake" (which I found out was written in honor of the movie Dr. Strangelove), and "Who Can It Be Now." He honestly sounds just as good as he did in the 1980s. Range, clarity, tone, pitch and projection of his voice are all still there. Bucket list item for my girlfriend checked off. Getting to see as wonderful of an artist such as Colin Hay, for me, warms my heart.

Both Colin and Lazlo Bane sounded great and put on a great show. Funny stories, heartfelt connections to the songs and a good vibe all-around. Colin sounds good and I feel lucky to have crossed paths with the whole ensemble. Learned a lot about Lazlo Bane I didn’t know and got to hear some MAW classics. Thanks for coming to Washington. Are you coming back in June with Ringo?

We finally got to see Colin Hay with a full band, which dimensionally made all the difference. We seen him perform solo acoustic in the same theater just before the Lockdowns began. Great way to come full circle in that way. Colin is quite the comedian to boot, jokingly anecdotally between songs. Non-stop entertainment, literally.

Great venue! Great performance! Gosh all these years on and Colin Hay still has the most amazingly clear and resonant voice! What a set of pipes he has on him! Hitting those high notes gave me goosebumps. I loved the intimacy of the performance. Colin presented as very human to an audience predominately of a similar generation that could totally relate. He was relaxed and felt in a safe space with an audience that responded wholeheartedly to Colin's encouragement. A wonderful evening!

Colin Hay was absolutely brilliant but the number of people getting up and going out to get drinks, repeatedly was outrageous! Disruptive and rude! Drinks should not be available during a show. Disrupted the beautiful flow of his music not to mention dodging people’s bodies just to see. If people are genuinely thirsty water was available. Ffs people! Are you there to see a legend or just drink??? If you need to go to the loo that’s fine but honestly….

Colin’s show is so entertaining with maybe 30% humorous anecdotes and many personal and honest stories. Woven together masterfully with songs of the past and some more recent, his recent work is more than just self indulgent filler between old hits and the show was well worth , venue also rates well !

Of the 200+ live musical performances I've had the opportunity to attend during my lifetime, I don't recall one I've enjoyed more thoroughly than Colin Hay's performance at the Majestic this past Sunday evening. I'm sure there are a number of factors that played into this; from the fact of having purchased the tickets over 2 years prior as a 23rd anniversary celebration so it was in fact past our 25th wedding anniversary, to this being only the 2nd "big event" we've attended since the pandemic began to subside to many other factors. But the biggest reason this was so enjoyable was undoubtedly the man himself - Colin Hay's extraordinary musicianship impresses from the first note to the last. His voice remains strong and clear and his energy and vitality on stage is impactful. He was funny and personable and relatable. His wisdom in communicating through song, though always immaculate, has grown through the years and it was as if he was sitting with each of us speaking to an old friend yet there was a great vibe of this incredibly fantastic music all along. It was quite a ride, from funny to touching to incredibly entertained! When Colin Hay is coming to a venue near you, BUY A TICKET AND BRING A FRIEND!!

Well it was a long time coming as I booked my tickets before COVID, so welcome to Dallas Colin. Really enjoyed his patter and songs, not to mention his excellent guitar work. A nice mixture of the old and the new (both the songs and the stories, lol), but a couple of hours well spent with a real troubadour. The Majestic is a perfect venue for this type of concert.

Colin Hay is one the best poet-story tellers in the world. His incredibly beautiful music is the icing on top of the cake. After purchasing these tickets mkre than two years ago, it was definitely worth the wait. The guy begind had seats he had gotten from a couple who had divorced since this was originally scheduled. The bar is back open at The Heights Theatre. And the mask requirement is gone. It was freaking awesome!!

This was the 3rd time I've seen Colin Hay. I bought tickets for this show that was supposed to happen in April, 2020 and then Covid hit so it got rescheduled to April 2021. That date too was cancelled due to Covid and rescheduled for April 8, 2022. Well, it was worth the wait and Colin was welcoming, entertaining and listening to his music was pure enjoyment. It felt like seeing an old friend. He is so incredibly talented both musically and his story telling is the best. I can't wait until the next time I can see him and in the meantime, I will listen to the many CDs I have of his music. Thank you Colin Hay for doing what you do and sharing it. Love you!

Amazing show! Colin Hay performed alone with 3 acoustic guitars and an acoustic mandolin. He was hilarious and engaging with the audience and everyone was in the spell of his music and lyrics. The venue was amazing as well. A small, original theater that was celebrating its 147th birthday. Not a bad seat in the entire venue.

Amazing show!! The sound was super good for the type of venue. I never doubted how great their playing would be but omg had no idea how great vocally all those guys still are! All 7 of them sang & played their hearts out for 2 hours!! Wish I could have followed them the whole week!!

The second night of a fantastic Men At Work tour bringing back brilliant memories from more than 35 years ago aided by his talented L. A. based group. All the hits were there though including most of the tracks from the first 2 albums plus 3 great ones from their final album and the toe-tapping, hand-clapping Come Tumbling Down from his current solo album Fierce Mercy.

Been a fan since Garden State (on of my favorite movies), really liked Men at Work as a kid too. Waiting for my real Life to Begin seems to be my life's motto. Love love love that song. 1st time seeing Colin live. SOOOoo good! I had no idea Colin was so funny and personable also. Great great show. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the "'air flute gal'"...seriously...air flute. She is weird. Kinda creepy. I think those songs she was in would have been better with someone actually play something and just have a backup singer (but without the weird dancing). You're an AWESOME performer Colin! Can't wait till you can come back to the Bay Area, Sacramento, or even Tahoe area!
