The Dufresne’s project has born in January 2004. The desire to give substance to their previous musical experiences led the band members to their first recording in July with the ‘Red House Recording Studio’ in Senigallia (Linea77, Max Gazzè, Subsonica, One dimentional man,) in artistic coproduction with David Lenci (One dimentional man, Three second kiss, Blonde red head, Steve Albini). Twelve tracks with Italian lyrics: hardcore, metal and rock merge into one another in electronic atmosphere and find their best expression in live performances.

The quintet has also managed to play with bands of high standing such as: From autumn to ashes, Belvedere, Since by man, The bled, Hell is for heroes.

The following year they went back to studio. This time the artistic direction was taken over by the Californian Darian Rundall, the producer of Pennywise, Yellowcard, Suicidal Tendencies: the outcome was six new tracks with English lyrics of strong emotional impact, and the first live performances abroad in Germany, Holland and Switzerland.
When they came back METATRON MANAGEMENT ‘s interest in them became more concrete: the name Dufresne appeared on the posters of ‘Available for Propaganda’ by Linea77 and ‘Snowbox’, a snowboard dvd with the videoclip ‘Un lungo sacrificio’ attached, went on sale.

In March 2006 the band signed for V2 Records and since April it has been promoting the album called ‘ATLANTIC’ (11 tracks 6 in Italian, 5 in English) which will come out in Italy in October 2006.
