Formed in 2011, Louisiana-born foursome Shayliff has been steamrolling the Ark-La-Tex with their gritty, soulful sound for over five years, and they have no intentions of slowing down. Originating out of Stonewall, Louisiana, the group has released two full length albums and two EPs – Shayliff (2011), Here We Are (2011), Motormouth (2013), and Why Don’t You Like Me (2013) – and have played at venues and events of distinction such as the Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, South by Southwest in Austin, the Red River Revel in Shreveport, and The Varsity in Baton Rouge. They won the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Battle of the Bands in 2012, placed first for the Dallas area in the 2015 Hard Rock Rising competition, and were included in the top five bands competing for the 2015 Louisiana Music Prize. After spending his teen years playing music in the Shreveport/Bossier City area and gaining local popularity, Shay Bailiff (lead vocals, guitar) relocated to South Korea upon signing with indie label, Digipop, and recorded two EPs in the Korean language. When he returned to the States in 2011, Shay founded Shayliff. The band consists of Shay’s twin brother, Grayson Bailiff (drums), Micheal Brown (lead guitar, backup vocals) and Morgan Fayard (bass, keyboard). With influences such as Pearl Jam, Muse, and Kings of Leon, Shayliff’s music continues to evolve while keeping its edgy, rock-and-roll roots. In early 2015, Shayliff released break-out single Red Leather Jacket, and later on that year, they recorded three songs with Paul Moak at the highly-acclaimed Smoakstack Studio in Nashville where artists such as Cold War Kids, Kelly Clarkson, Ellie Goulding, and Dave Barnes have recorded. These songs were released in 2016 as singles.
