Le groupe s’appelait les Teenkats.
Les bien-nommés. Au début des 80’s, ils jouaient le rockabilly façon Stray Cats ou Robert Gordon. Ils avaient été découverts par Jacky Chalard. Qui d’autre ? Victor Leed, Jezebel Rock, Chris Evans, Les Alligators, c’était alors tout une scène.
Viktor Huganet est de la même veine.
Un gamin de Toulouse. Comme Brian Setzer, son modèle, il a un héros absolu :
Eddie Cochran, évidemment. Il lui a même consacré un bien émouvant Remember Eddie Cochran, comme Eddy Mitchell, jadis.
Il compose et écrit en français, ce qui n’est pas rien. Le rockabilly est là, encore.
Les racines ! Mais, tels, d’ailleurs, les Stray Cats, il ne s’enferme pas. Un prochain LP sort bientôt. Rock’n’Roll VO/VF ! Reprises et originaux, en Français, comme en anglais...que des perles. Sur Big Beat, le beau label de Jacky Chalard.

This well named group were called The Teenkats. In the early 80's, they played rockabilly in the style of the Stray Cats or Robert Gordon. They had been discovered by Jacky Chalard. Who else? Along with Victor Leed, Jezebel Rock, Chris Evans, The Alligators, it was quite a scene then.
Viktor Huganet is in the same vein. A kid from Toulouse. Like Brian Setzer, Viktors role model, he also has an absolute hero: Eddie Cochran, who else . He even devoted a very moving tribute "Remember Eddie Cochran" to him, like Eddy Mitchell once had.
Composing and writing in French, Rockabilly is here, again. Roots ! But, moreover like the Stray Cats, he does not lock himself in. An upcoming LP will be released soon. Rock'n'Roll VO/VF !
