2020 will mark a big milestone for “The Flying Dutchman”, RAM, as it will be 25 years since he first graced a set of decks in front of a crowd and what a25 years it has been. Due to the pandemic his 25 Years tour has been delayed with 2 years. But looks like 2022 will be the start finally. Starting of his solo career in 2009, RAM immediately From his hard trance days as one half of Dutch duo “Bas & RAM” to his more melodic trance days as a solo act, RAM has entertained tens if not hundreds of thousands of clubbers and continues to do so on a weekly basis be it at clubs, arenas or festivals. RAM has graced the stages of the biggest and most respected events: Mysteryland, A State of Trance, Dreamstate, Qlimax, Electronic Family, Nature One, Transmission, Trance Energy,Sensation, Dance Valley, EDC, Defqcon1 and many more. He is known for energetic and uplifting sets interacting directly with his audience. Hit the jackpot with the most talked about track of that year, “RAMsterdam”. Supported by all the major trance DJ’s it became the “Tune of the Year” on ASOT and it was pronounced “best track of the year” by Armin van Buuren. The biggest track of RAM’s since “RAMsterdam” saw the light a few years later in October 2013.The loss of his beloved wife Amelia was the reason for this track and so “RAMelia” was born, a vocal collaboration with Susana and it did not disappoint. It won lots of awards world wide and with 8 consecutive plays on A State of Trance, voted Future Favorite with a staggering 61,9% of the votes (Most votes ever @ ASOT)“voted#2 in the Tune of the Year on ASOT 2013, it became, what Armin called, a trance evergreen. Also the only artist outside Armin & Tiesto that has 2 tracks in the top 10 of the ASOT top 1000 list. RAMsterdam & RAMelia. That shows how much impact his music has on the fans. Since then RAM has went on to score numerous number 1’s and Top 5 hits with instrumental and vocal hits such as “RAMsterdam”, “RAMelia”, “Northern Star”, “For the one you love”, “SomeoneLike You”, “A Billion Stars Above”, “The Calling” etc. With his signature sound he has continuously support on radio shows and live shows of all A-list big djs such as Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz , Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila and many more. He has released on all big labels as WAO138–FSOE–Black Hole and of course his own “NocturnalKnights” which is now one of the best-selling labels in trance on beatport. Also remixing the biggest names in trance like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Gareth Emery, John oCallaghan and many more got a RAM makeover. Also he launched with the queen of trance Susana a new project called “Tales of Life” a unique live act with all their classics, new covers, bootlegs and upcoming singles like the new single “Power of Love” cover from Frankie Goes To Hollywood from the 80’s. 2023 will be the release of his second artist album Wanderlust with collabs from some of the most amazing vocalists like Roxanne Emery, Sarah de Warren, Susana and many more.But also a huge list of other new releases and collabs are in the making. 2023 he also signed a residency with the nr.1 club in China Galame.
