What a cracking band. So enjoyable in a great venue. These guys are so talented and great songwriters. Will definitely see them again.

So good! The people who go tonight are in for a treat! Make sure you pick your wristbands up outside before you enter. Careful on the stairs! They ran out of beer in the middle of the show last night, but it’s all growing pains for a new venue. The band was FANTASTIC. High energy and lots of love.

The Felice Brothers have been my favourite band for a number of years now, I was first introduced to From Dreams to Dust which is just an incredible album and duly did some research in to the back catalogue which didn't disappoint. I saw them live previously in Islington, and they did a fantastic show and it was a pleasure to see them. Since then they have released the surprise album Asylum on the Hill which contains, in my humble opinion, some absolute masterpieces; there are too many to mention really but the album title track Asylum on the Hill, Abundance and Birds of the Wild West are stand out for me. The album which was the main purpose for the tour, Valley of Abandoned Songs, is just a further tour de force and proof (as if it was needed) of their song writing skills. It is my understanding that this is a collection of songs that never quite made it on to the final cut of previous albums, which just further underlines the talent within the band. The whole album is incredible and packed with hits, but I would pick out Crime Scene Queen, Flowers by the Roadside and Let Me Ride Away with the Horsemen. The set at Strange Brew was the perfect balance of old songs and new, and all were delivered in the beautiful raw sounding, deliberately off key style that makes the band stand out among their peers. The brilliant intimate venue helped add to the experience as well, and allowed for the opportunity to meet with the incredibly friendly James Felice which was a real treat. I hope the band return again in 2025, and would encourage anyone who is a fan of the 'Songs that tell stories' musical genre to check them out. In the highly unlikely event the band might see this, please keep on keeping on, because your music makes a difference.

If you don’t love The Felice Brothers there may be something wrong with you. 😀 Wry, infectious, living their best lives and making sure their audiences do too. Brilliant stuff. A lovely, warm support set from Tapir! as well (actually just an Ike Gray solo).

This was the best concert I’ve seen in a little while! The Felice Brothers are a band of passionate, talented performers. I feel lucky to have caught them in person in Rhode Island. Thanks for coming out :)

Would like to subtract half a star because the venue’s HVAC not working on a very hot day but did not because the band still brought it! They’re always the best! Go See them!!

I’ve never taken the opportunity to see these guys before, and I’ll never pass one up again. I started listening to the band when “The Felice brothers” was released. I loved that album, I mean like I love some Stones and other heavies! So, the performance was awesome. The band played their hearts out, I felt swept up in the perforce with the rest of the audience like I did when I saw Peter Gabriel in 86. That Ampeg rig that the bass player had sounded so good!! God help whoever has to load that thing…I’m down to small cabs and class D heads myself! Overall, this is a band that I never thought I’d see in an intimate setting. Great club, great performance, really…I mean truly unique and important music! Wish I could have stayed to meet the band.
