Treading Zero is a Canadian hard rock band based in London, Ontario, featuring Tony (vocals), Rob (guitar and samples), Sarv (bass), and Jesse (percussion).

Originally emerging with an acoustic heavy rock sound driven by primal energy and powerful songwriting, Treading Zero carved out a distinctive approach that helped the band stand out and build recognition.

As part of a planned creative evolution, the band began transitioning toward a modern hard rock sound in late 2025, expanding their sonic palette from raw acoustic power into high-energy performances, heavier guitars, driving distortion, bigger dynamics, and a more aggressive edge while maintaining the emotional depth that has always defined their music.

That evolution reflects the themes at the core of the band’s songwriting. Treading Zero draws inspiration from the tension of a society struggling to adapt to unprecedented change while still maintaining its humanity.

Treading Zero has built a growing list of live appearances across Ontario, including CrewFest in Brantford alongside artists such as LIVE, Headstones, Our Lady Peace, and Bif Naked, opening for Bobnoxious at the Railway City Music & Arts Festival in St. Thomas, and appearing as a finalist at the 2025 Sound of Music Festival Battle of the Bands Grand Finale at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. The band has also performed at notable venues and festivals including Toronto’s legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Rum Runners in London, Beachfest in Grand Bend, Collective Arts Brewery in Hamilton, and It’s Your Festival on Canada Day at Gage Park in Hamilton.

The band’s music has received radio airplay, including spins on FM 97.9 The Bruce in Ontario and Xposure on X92.9 in Calgary.

Their music has also been featured by music publications including Tinnitist, Cashbox Canada, Canadian Beats, MNPR Magazine, and Record World Magazine International.

Behind the scenes, Treading Zero collaborates with an accomplished production team including Juno-winning producer and engineer Siegfried Meier (Beach Road Studios) and mastering engineer João Carvalho.

The name Treading Zero symbolizes the paths people must traverse as they seek to become stronger and better versions of themselves. It represents optimism over negativity and the belief that music has the power to captivate, enlighten, and unite.

Treading Zero is currently in the studio recording their first full-length hard rock album with Siegfried Meier at Beach Road Studios, scheduled for release in 2026.
