What should a 25-something individual do when they're not particularly wealthy and don't have much of a professional network? Start a band, of course.
That's, more or less, the backstory of Peron (not "Post Peron"). Formed by four individuals who met and are trying to survive in Semarang. The lineup includes melancholic-news-reporter vocalist Faisal, crunch-time-architect bassist Rizky, starving-culture-worker guitarist Rio, and mediocre-office-employee drummer Sultan.
Peron delivers post-punk inspired by (read: stolen from) bands like Viagra Boys, Protomartyr, IDLES, and Joy Division, shaping it into what the call "Post-Shift Punk". Peron strives to create music that gets tired bodies moving, lost in dance while cursing the industries that employ them.
