SpaceAcre are blowing up on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to their uncompromising, stadium-sized rock sound, loaded with soaring riffs, extraordinary vocals and astute songwriting on themes of corruption, injustice and greed. While maintaining their fierce DIY ethos, they have established a significant online following within a few short years and have also embarked on headline tours, opened for Skunk Anansie and contributed to a hit Charli XCX song. SpaceAcre were brilliant, Cherry was adorable with a great voice. The last band was interesting, but a bit convoluted and not to my taste. The venue was very good - a really nice pub with a good sized music room hidden by a wall-to-wall bookcase with secret doors. The sound was perfect.

They overcame a few sound problems not of their making to put on a slick show for those who bothered to come out.
Decent student venue but few of the attendees were students.
And I thought Brighton was a student town.
