Jay Buchanan

This was an amazing experience for me because Jay is such an inspiration. Great voice and wonderful songwriter. His relationship with the audience was something I won’t soon forget.

I’m a dinosaur so I’ve seen a lot of concerts in all categories. Jays performance definitely is now in my favorite concert list. It was a beautiful evening of storytelling and GREAT songs from his first solo album. The acoustics of Subterranean are great. It’s a small intimate space that also has a small balcony where I had a direct view of Jay. He seemed to really appreciate the audience for their enjoyment of his stories and reception to his excellent songs. It was quite an evening that I’ll remember.

An amazing evening!

AMAZING! Even though the crowd was sparse Jay told stories and sang songs from his album for 2 hours+ even adding Shooting Stars to the mix and and to close, turned the lights out and set his guitar aside for an amazing version of Merle Travis’ “Dark as a Dungeon”. Very disappointed in the Michigan music community not supporting this amazing talent. Can’t wait to see him back with Rival Sons this Fall.

A beautiful, intimate affair where Jay carried us through his life. Myself, and several fellas in the crowd, were shedding tears more than once. What a gifted soul

Great voice. I might check out his music.

One hour and forty-fiveinutes of a vocal master, epic storytelling. One man, two guitars and a dulcimer. Simply perfect evening. Shook hands with the fans before and after the show.

Arguably the best voice I’ve ever heard live. One dude, one guitar. Criminally under-attended but that just made the experience that much better.

Stunning performance from one of the best vocalists out there

Jay both sang, played and talked through a fantastic acoustic set. Nice to see a performer who genuinely lives what he's doing. Really nice small venue.

Stellar, jay buchanan was genuinely charming and such an amazing meeting, The weapons of beauty album Is pure perfection and heart felt A true master piece

Great show.
