Formed in 2022 as a 2 piece project, Matt Matusik and Matt Branton began working on music together which led to 6 songs being tracked in early 2023.
In November 2023 the 2 track single ‘ Dying To Live ‘ was released with production from John Naclerio (The Ataris, Bayside, Brand New) which was met with a great response leading to thousands of streams, numerous playlist adds worldwide and radio plays across the country (including Triple J’s Short.Fast.Loud).
In December 2023, Ellen May signed to We’re Trying Records from Austin, TX in preparation to launch their 4 song debut EP ‘ A Lonely Way To Go ‘ on March 1st 2024.
How It Came To This was featured on episode #502 of Mike Herrera Podcast (MxPx).
With the band now a 5 piece, Ellen May look set to hit the stage and cement their place in the local scene.
