With at least 3 chords & the half-truth as in her debut single, "Ol' George," the Stanly County, NC native’s small-town stories inspire her songwriting, whether it was crossing paths with a local “Mountain Man” before graduating from Appalachian State University or the fact she had to break the news to her dad that she wasn’t coming back home because of it.
