A propos de Steve Dawson

Steve Dawson
Originally from Vancouver, Canada but living in Nashville for the last decade, Steve Dawson has been actively recording, touring and producing for years, and the output of award-winning music for himself and other artists makes him one of the most prolific musicians on the scene today (7 Juno Awards as artist or producer, among many others). Whether he’s turning heads on the concert circuit with his incendiary playing, or pulling the best possible performances out of the many artists that he works with, Steve Dawson is always striving to take things to the next level with innovative slide guitar playing, fingerstyle guitar and songwriting. Steve has released 10 solo albums over the years, as well as 3 with the award-winning duo Zubot and Dawson, and the Great Uncles of the Revolution. Steve also works regularly as a side-person and spent the bulk of his time pre-pandemic on the road with Birds of Chicago and Matt Andersen.
Steve is releasing 3 albums of original material over the next year. The first, “Gone, Long Gone” has received rave reviews and airplay across the world. It features 10 original compositions, many of which are co-written with Matt Patershuk. The second album, “Phantom Threshold” is a moody and unique instrumental exploration of the pedal steel guitar. The third album, "Eyes Closed, Dreaming" comes out March 2023.

Very wonderful! Dawson and Cooder together were each and together lovely! Ye Olde Jar Bar is, in itself, such an enjoyable venue, and I've been there many times. This concert, though, was one of the best of ever enjoyed. Thanks!

Easily on of the best concerts I have seen this year. Talented musicians and great music.

Amazing show! What a musical shape shifter. We are looking forward to his show at the Edmonton New Moon Folk Club in February. Steve Dawson and the Hooded Mergansers have created their own genre of both original material and reimagining other works.
