Depression is a funny beast. When thinking of a name, I erupted in the night from a deep sleep. A simple rhyme became what I call myself today. Fera in Portuguese means beast. Sometimes, when I am taken over by emotion and the writing pours out I feel taken over by a magical beast. One who protects me from all sadness and pain. With my innate talent to clearly describe my feelings comes a heavy weight of becoming lost in my emotions. Sometimes I am literally stuck in my own bile of emotions and can not get out.
As I have become older (and slightly wiser), I have learned ways to spend less time ruminating and more time writing and feeling inspired. This is refreshing and gives me hope that there is light in the world. We just need to go on a quest to find it. Find your people and search for the light.
