grasshopper (small 'g') are a post-punk band based in Brighton / Manchester, and have supported Grant Hart (ex-Husker Du/Nova Mob), RM Hubbert, The Charlatans, Sonic Jesus, Fujiya & Miyagi, and The Go! Team, and have played at major festivals including Festival Number 6, Kendal Calling, Isle of Wight Festival and Forgotten Fields, as special guests of Tim Burgess. Other fans of the band include Mike Watt (Stooges, Minutemen, Cuz), Terry Bickers (House of Love), Sam Dook (Go! Team, Cuz), and Gillian Gilbert (New Order). grasshopper's two self-released EPs have been bestsellers in Resident Records, Brighton, and their debut 7" single has been played frequently on Gideon Coe and Steve Lamacq's BBC 6 Music shows.
