In 2006, Mark Hodges pulled his Peavey Foundation bass guitar out of the attic and started playing with a few friends. Meanwhile, Darrin Lindsay was banging on his buddy’s drums in a bedroom across town in Gainesville, FL. The two decided to become rock gods and called upon Mark’s cousin Joey Putnam, who had been playing guitar since he was a fetus. The three convened in an old Craftsman house and started writing songs. After a short search for a vocalist, Mark decided he didn’t want to listen to anyone else’s shit lyrics and stepped up to the mic. In 2007, the newly formed Hours Eastly played a raging beer pong tournament, which launched them into the Gainesville bar gig scene. After creating a loyal following affectionately labeled ‘The Mutants’, the band picked up and moved to Jacksonville Beach, where fate crossed their path with Iration. 2015 & 2016 saw several national tours supporting Iration and the release of their new EP ‘Lost’, which was produced by King David and released on Three Prong Records. The boys are now back in the lab.
