William Lee Martin

Comedian by trade. Motivator by accident. Philosophizer by 2 a.m. — and hysterically funny from the moment he hits the stage.

For nearly three decades, William Lee Martin has been making audiences across America laugh until their sides hurt. His latest tour, Red Dirt Comedy Presents: William Lee Martin – Seemed Smart at the Time Tour, brings fans another original, fast-moving, and relatively clean comedy experience—“PG... in 1985,” as he likes to say. (Translation: fun, a little edgy, but not filthy.) Known for his authentic, heartfelt storytelling, Martin has a rare ability to turn everyday moments into unforgettable
comedy that feels personal, real, and wildly funny.

A prolific writer, Martin completely turns over his material every 12 to 15 months, ensuring no two tours are ever the same. From the moment you walk into the theatre, the show begins—not just on stage, but with a full audio and visual experience,
including pre-show music Martin has written himself.

Whether you know him from his hit specials on streaming platforms, his many tours like “The Funny Life” and the “Nuttier Cracker: A Christmas Show Spectacular”, his podcast “The Red Dirt Comedy Show” or his many television and radio appearances, William Lee Martin has built a career on making people laugh without having to apologize afterward. A proud family man and modern-day philosopher with a real Texas cowboy’s heart, Martin reminds audiences to laugh at life’s absurdities and find the funny in their own stories.

If you want a comedy show that’s as smart as it is side-splitting—and leaves the crowd feeling good- This is it!
