With the release of their debut album Shima, their cohesion has tightened into an other-worldly sound, with vigorously complicated layers of drum beats provided by Cleo Parker Robinson’s African dance rhythm section, an energetic horn lineup, compelling bass, guitar and keyboard lines, and a surprisingly moving violin soaring above it all.
