Marty Schwartz

Drove to Chicago just to see Marty, and honestly it felt like meeting an old friend. During lockdown, my son learned more songs from Marty's YouTube videos than I can count. If he wants to play it, Marty probably has a lesson for it. Marty couldn't have been nicer. He talked with everyone before the show, took pictures, signed autographs, and made everyone feel welcome. And the music? Awesome. I was especially excited to see Marty Jam in person. He looked genuinely happy up there, and wow, the guy can play. 10/10. My son got guitar lessons, and I got a concert. Everybody wins. 🎸😄

Excellent show. Good vibes, nice venue and solid entertainment from all performers. When’s the next one?

Marty and the guys were awesome. I walked down to the Gibson Garage from the convention center. I was in Nashville for the ISRI convention. When I got to the Gibson Garage and Mark Agnesi was in the Murphy Lab section of the store talking to a group of well dressed very attractive people. So I joined them and listened to Mark explain the ends and outs of the Murphy Lab. Then on the group went to the acoustic room and Mark continued to tell the group a wealth of information about the acoustic guitars. Then as the group was moving to the next section of the store which was the Mesa Boogie section a very tall woman approached me and asked if I was part of the PR group? I stated no and that was the end of my Mark Agnesi tour. So after being asked to leave the PR group there were some guys setting up the stage and I asked one of the salesman. “Bro, what’s up with the stage? “ He told me, “Yeah, Marty Schwartz is going to be here at 3:00.” I was like,”No way.” Then when I found out that he was letting people come up and play with him, I signed up immediately. Everyone that played with Marty was really good. I recorded all the performances with exception of my own. It was unbelievable that I got to play with Marty and the hired g*n Rhythm section. So when I got home I couldn’t wait to tell everyone that I played with Marty at the Gibson Garage and they are like, “sure you did.” Anyway, believe me or not, that was the highlight of my trip to Nashville. Which also included my son shaking hands with Kid Rock at his bar and Kid Rock calling him by name and thanking him for coming to his place. Needless to say, we are all ready to return to Nashville.
