Sleepless Giants are a four-piece alt-rock band formed in Edinburgh, 2016. Influenced by such groups as Lonely the Brave, Biffy Clyro and Fatherson, Sleepless Giants’ heavy riffs, anthemic choruses and powerful lyrics are already giving the young band a positive name in the capital city’s rock scene.

Formed by chance after replying to a Facebook add for finding fellow band members the guys quickly found a strong songwriting compatibility and decided to headline their first gig in Edinburgh in May, 2017. Following the positivity of 2016 the band then enjoyed a whirlwind 12 months in 2017. High profile support slots with bands Fangclub and Paceshifters came along and the band released their first single, This Ship Is Sinking as they embarked on their first Scottish tour, all to much acclaim.

Track of the Week on Diamond Deposit Music

2018 looks set to be another exciting year for the band as they release their second single in April, playing their first headliner of 2018 in Edinburgh’s Mash House. Following on from that they will be making their first ever festival appearances and will continue to gig and tour around Scotland to reach audiences old and new. Not a bad first year and a half for a band who met on Facebook.
