This was my second time seeing They Might Be Giants. They make it look easy, but they are super talented and very well rehearsed. They even played a song backwards. They closed the show with Constantinople. The horns were epic! I met John Flansburgh in 2004 in North Carolina. He is such a genuinely good human being. We had a great conversation. He offered to put me on the guest list for their show at The Orange Peel that night. I couldn’t go because I had a test the next day that I had to study for. I regretted missing the show, but John insisted I go home and study. I might not be an acupuncturist today if it weren’t for John Flansburgh. I saw TMBGs play a show in Newburyport, MA in 2017. I dragged my husband close to the stage so the band could see his beard. He still has a beard because he is a solar electrician in New Hampshire. The House of Blues is a very clean venue. Thanks to the corporate overlords. But I did thoroughly enjoy the conga line in the park in Newburyport.

It was actually May 2. They performed part of John Henry in the first set and then did a lot of songs I've never heard them do live before like Man it's so loud in here and till my head falls off from factory showroom + A cover of a Raspberries song. Definitely a different show than I've seen before. They a lot of fun even for my friends who aren't huge fans like me. The Vic is a cool old theatre that's been refurbished as a live music venue. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to remove a few patrons who got too drunk too early. All in all a great night

Amazing music and energy, topped only by their humor and presence. A great mix of classic and new songs, multiple sets and even a few surprises that made for one of the best shows I have ever seen! Hope to see them again this tour (especially since I was only able to attend one night, and I heard they played a lot off of Lincoln the second night) The venue was clean, sound was mixed well, the staff was great and parking nearby was a breeze. Will certainly come back for another show soon!

My mom (a huge fan and grew up in NY) introduced me to TMBG since birth basically. I grew up with their music. I always listened to my mom’s CD’s, especially their earlier albums such as Lincoln, Flood, Apollo 18, and Mink Car from as far back as I can remember, since I was born in 1998 and iTunes came out after that we didn’t have any other CD’s except John Henry and Factory Showroom, which I really enjoy but haven’t heard as frequently. I also watched Here Come The ABC’s quite a few times as a young child. Anyway, was the first concert I’ve attended of theirs (my mom’s second). The venue is perfect in my opinion, it has a lot of personality and suits the vibe. It was the first time in my adult life where I could manage purchasing the tickets into my budget. As you might imagine, it was a very precious moment for us to watch this 3 day performance, we even cried a little just out of pure joy. It might sound cheesy to say, but seeing them live for the first time felt like I was at a family reunion. Thank you for the amazing performance and setlist, and coming to WA. We hope to see you again next time you’re in the area, we look forward to it!!!

The crystal ball room, while beautiful and well built for musical events conceptually continues to be difficult to recommend due to how bad communication is. There is no signage telling you where to line up or where the merch Booth is or how to get to the merch booth without accidentally leaving the entire venue and being sent on a wild goose chase to find the front door. Anyway, all the band members have more energy than I do, and honestly seem to be having a delightful time. Highly suggest seeing this band... Somewhere else.

The set list had songs that casual and h******e fans could enjoy, and even my mom who only knew the hits had a good time. I didn’t have any problems with the venue, but with it being a sold out show, it was definitely a bit cramped. I would absolutely go back to see the band and look forward to any future Florida tour stops!!!

Great venue, first time in the venue. Get there early as it can fill up very quickly after doors opening to get a good view. They Might Be Giants, were amazing I have been desperate to see them, and they were everything I hoped for. They performed the classics and some new stuff mixed in, the John's were even occasionally talking to the crowd and telling stories while setting up for the next song. I will be eagerly awaiting for They Might Be Giants next shows in the UK, and I will be keeping an eye on future shows at Rock City.

The band were fabulous. The crowd not so fabulous. No personal space, I had booze spilt on me three times. Guys barging through the crowd to go pee or get booze. I’ve been to Glastonbury and not had this kind of strangeness. Weird smells and responses to the music, was like a primary school gig. Lots of mummy’s special soldiers with no empathy or self awareness….

The show was great! The only thing I would mention, is it was a seated venue (meaning you paid for the view you got) and the band had everyone stand and flood the isles, lol. I felt bad for the older couple in front of me who definitely were not planning to stand for the entire show, they were sat behind the tallest man ever, who stood the whole time they were seated, I don't know how much of the show they actually got to see. I'd also be pretty miffed if I paid for front row seating (some of those seats were quite pricey) and some joe shmoe ran in and blocked my view. (or people who simply can't stand for an entire show and paid for good seats to get a good view, they really wouldn't have been able to enjoy the show at all) The music was wonderful otherwise, and I'm glad I was able to go.

Absolutely amazing! Having been a fan since the mid 90’s and only now getting to see them live, I was not disappointed. Was even surprised with hearing ‘Spy’ live! Even got to take our 7 year old, who is well on her way to being a fan for life.

They even performed "Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love" completely backwards, then played the video in reverse for the second half of the concert and it was the song forward! Very talented. It's been a while since we've had that much fun.

RAIN in San Diego? Humphrey's is an outdoor venue, so the show went on. And it was tremendous. Everybody in the audience was sopping wet, and it was pretty chilly (55 degrees F). The rain came down in sheets - but very few people left. The show was fantastic - the full album FLOOD performed (not in the proper order, but that's a minor complaint) along with several of their hits and of course the ones we all know and love. Horns sounded great and John F. looks no worse for the wear after his traffic accident. John L. was his usual cynical self, but we love him! Dan Miller is a great guitarist, by the way. TMBG always gives a great show. Thanks, boys!

This show was 2 sets, all of Flood (broken into sets of 3-5 songs), several other favorites, a couple new ones from their latest release "Book," 3-pc horns, and two encores. Very glad to see Flans looking recovered from his accident. Solid backing band, as usual. The first set was probably the weirdest (musically) I've seen them play, but still fun. Sound was decent, not great, but it could have been different depending on your seats. Tons of patter between songs, most of it very funny, some of it just regularly funny. Packed house at The Athenaeum, which is very, very old with steep sides and an even steeper back wall. Intimate enough, yet a curious departure from the Newport where they've almost exclusively played. This was the first show I'd seen here. One suggestion: have separate bars for beer and mixed drinks. Everything would go much faster for the beer buyers and you'd sell more of it. Waiting behind customers who were trying to debate the merits of various whiskeys with bartenders was a drag.

They put on one hell of a show! They perform the songs wonderfully, and jam a few of them out for a unique version you won’t hear in the album. The banter in between songs and interaction with the crowd really made the show.

Last nights show at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, FL was one of the best shows I have seen them do. The energy from the audience and the band was infectious. They really mixed the setlist up and that was a nice surprise. The opening song was Mesopotamians. This song was on their newest album the last time they played here in March 2008. Some other highlights were both Spy and Guitar getting played. Both of these songs have their free wheeling moments and with the energy in the room they had a lot of fun and even made the audience part of it by having us scream during Spy. Guitar just makes you want to move and dance. I haven’t heard Fingertips in a while so it was a nice way to close the show. Having the full horn section really brings the band to another level and makes what already sounds amazing even more alive. I can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store.

The band sounded really good I just didn’t know more than two songs maybe. I went to just check out the vibe because I know that they’re legends of that time and people love them. The most enjoyable moments for me was the banter between songs ha ha.

The most amazing show that I’ve seen - I’ve seen TMBG perform around 20 times live (since 1990) and this performance is in the top 3!! The venue is very clean, comfortable and great staff. I will definitely be back to see another show sand hopefully it will be TMBG again sometime soon. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Whereas some groups are great on recordings but disappoint live (I'm looking at you, RHCP), TMBG exceeded even my wildest expectations. The Johns' voices haven't changed a bit and brought me right back to 1990. The rest of the band were phenomenal. That trumpet! All the classics from "Flood" mixed with a host of other material made for an extensive setlist and a wonderful evening. I also deeply appreciated their respectful request for folks to wear masks and the vast majority of the audience for doing so. In all, it was worth the three-year wait (bought tickets in November 2019, then waited patiently as the show was rescheduled thrice) and I can't wait for them to come back to the Twin Cities.

The band was great. Great show. The venue, the royale, though I love the place, again the bands set was cut short to make way for the dance club. This happens all the time. They shouldn't have shows there if this is going to happen constantly.

Then I’ll go on to speak of a master class I took once, “The Neuroscience of Acting”: in it the instructor said for us each to have a list of 3 things that, as soon as we even think of each one of the things on the list, regardless of our emotional state at the time, make us smile. (To protect us when we have to go other places for our art.) The top of my short list is FLOOD. Since I first heard it in the ‘90s, it has been on this list of instant smile makers.
