La banda se forma fines del 2011 cuando, luego de conocerse en un par de recitales, Jorge San Román (Tempano) y Luis Thor (ex Quemando Cromo) deciden formar una banda de Heavy Metal Épico, en la vertiente tradicional de la US Metal. Recomendado por Luis también se une a la cruzada Sebastian Torres (ex Quemando Cromo), que junto a Cristian Magarzo, bajista de Tempano en ese momento y ex Quemando Cromo también, comienzan la gestación del grupo. Con el ingreso de Sebastián Doldán (ex Fëanor) en batería, queda conformada la banda, arrancando los ensayos a principios de 2012. Luego del primer ensayo, al ver como las piezas engranaron, se consolida la formación de la banda, eligiendo como nombre Interceptor, en homenaje al V8 Special de Mad Max. Durante 2012 y 2013 la banda se presenta en varios shows en Capital Federal y Gran Buenos Aires, dando a conocer la propuesta y componiendo nuevo material. En 2014 se realiza la grabación del primer disco "Interceptor", en los estudios La Nave de Oseberg, el cual gracias al sello "Pacheco Records" ve la luz en 2015 , en conjunción con el esperado regreso de Mad Max a la pantalla grande. Durante 2015 se produce el ingreso de Javier Fernández Silva en bajo, en lugar de Cristian. La banda, con nueva formación consolidada, se presenta por primera vez en el exterior, en Uruguay, en el festival organizado por el fanzine "Nuestro Sentir" . Durante 2015 y 2016 la banda continúa presentando el disco. En la actualidad Interceptor se encuentra componiendo material del que será su segundo disco. ===== The band is formed at the end of 2011 when, after having met during a couple of shows, Jorge San Román (Tempano) and Luis Thor (ex Quemando Cromo) decide to form an Epic Heavy Metal band, in the vein of traditional US Metal. Recommended by Luis, Sebastián Torres (ex Quemando Cromo) joins the crusade, and together with Cristian Magarazo (Tempano's bass player at the time, and also former Quemando Cromo), they begin to conform the group. When Sebastian Doldán (ex Fëanor) on drums joins in, the band is complete, starting early 2012 with the rehearsals. After the first rehearsal, seeing how well the pieces fall into place, the band is consolidated, choosing INTERCEPTOR as name, as a homage to Mad Max's V8 Special. During 2012 and 2013 the band plays several shows in the Buenos Aires area, in order to present their music while composing new material. In 2014 takes place the recording of the first album "Interceptor", at the "La Nave de Oseberg" studios, which thanks to the label "Pacheco Records" sees finally the light in 2015, together with the long awaited return of Mad Max to the big screen. During 2015 Javier Fernández Silva joins the band on bass, replacing Cristian. The band, consolidated with its new line-up, gives its first show aborad, in Uruguay, at the "Nuestro Sentir" festival, organised by the fazine. During 2015 and 2016 the band continues presenting the album. Currently Interceptor is working composing new material for the second album.
