From New Plymouth, NZ comes DarkWater, an original post alt rock band who first formed as a 4 piece late 2009. Their first 3 years were spent developing their own unique sound, described as gritty and gripping with a heaviness that enfolds melody. They have supported some big names along the way such as Shihad, Devilskin and I Am Giant. Recordings to date have received promising reviews in the NZ Musician Magazine with DarkWater being described as "...dynamic alt rock with strong songwriting, hooks and warm melodies..." "...you won't know what's hit you..." Early 2013 saw DarkWater become a 3 piece, where their sound continued to develop and evolve to fully encompass their changed lineup.
