A propos de Ravary
Ravary is the solo-with-friends songwriting, recording, and performance project of NC multi-instrumentalist Justin Ravary Ellis (Happy Abandon, Easter Island, Al Riggs, Waldo Witt, Flash Car) Born in London and having spent the summers of his formative years with French-speaking family near Montreal, Justin's music is equally inspired by the synths and guitars of the 90's Britpop movement as the large folky hooks of Arcade Fire and traditional Quebecois and North Carolinian folk music. In spring of 2019, Ravary submitted to the NPR Tiny Desk Contest and was featured prominently on All Songs Considered. The live band consists of close friends and collaborators Jones Bell (keyboards), Chesley Kalnen (guitar, synth, bass) Rafael Green (guitar), Eli Howells (violin), and Jake Waits (drums).
