D GROVE My DJ’ing career began at the young age of 15, where a friend let me play around on a pair of belt-drive turntables. I must admit I wasn’t very good - but managed to get a couple of small gigs in a local pub where I would mix hip hop tracks, such as Eminem into Run DMC!!! Luckily, as my mixing improved, I found my love for Underground Dance Music. After a year on the decks, I received my first booking at 'Meltdown', an event run in the old 'Dance Station' on the Swansea High Street. After that great experience I really caught the performing 'bug' I went on to play a series of events in and around Swansea and pretty soon I was asked to play at both Bionic (originally in the Emporium in Cardiff) and Breathe in Swansea, which is the point that I felt I was really starting to go somewhere!! Both events attracted massive crowds of serious hard dance clubbers and the atmosphere was electrifying!! I found I was playing alongside some of my heroes including S.H.O.K.K, Trance Generators, Uberdruck, Mark E.G, Cally and Juice and The Organ Donors to name but a few!! After that I knew that this was the career I wanted more than anything in the world. In 2008, I had the fantastic opportunity to play some gigs in the dance Capital of the World, Ibiza!! It was an experience of a lifetime, especially getting to meet the likes of Judge Jules and playing alongside Mauro Picotto. In 2010 I got to play at the massive Escape In the Park Festival (Polysexua arena)Thanks to winning the Escape/Evening Post 'Decks Factor' competition,That has got to be one of the best gig's I have ever played to It was truly a dream come true, To date I have Regular sets at the one and only Bionic I now co run a successful hard Dance event in Swansea Called Dirtox.
