“While a lot of emcees choose to push some tough guy act or boast about financial success, Parker, a Minneapolis native turned Madison resident, is an open book, emotionally. It’s a relatively rare — and refreshing — trait for a rapper. And he has the ability to get introspective while deftly gliding over the beat.”

The emerging rapper, singer, and songwriter from the Southside of Minneapolis, recently released the the second installment to the final chapter of his audio-biography, “Mephoria,” which brilliantly showcases his ability to create music that urges his audience to process their emotions, to participate in dialogue, and to look deep within themselves. Ideally in processing trauma we give ourselves the opportunity to heal. And in healing we give ourselves the opportunity to grow.

"Music is a tool that can be used to change the world,” says Lucien. “It can be used as a platform to help eradicate a system that is hell bent on trapping people of color. I may only be a piece of the puzzle, but I will continue to make music that will uplift my children, and their children after them, transcending the boundaries of time and place."

Most importantly, perhaps, Lucien will continue to push the boundaries and redefine the sound of modern hip-hop, R&B, and pop music.
