Sam talked way too much between songs. After each song it took 3-5 minutes for talking and tuning instruments. I came to hear him play not for dialogue. I just attended the Paul Cauthen concert at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC and was treated to a bucket list performance from Paul and the entire band! We rocked it from one song right into the next. It was a blast! It was spiritual! It was a life changing! Maybe 200-250 people were there and instead of limping through a performance those guys rocked it! I am still high from that show. But came away disappointed with Sam Bush. Glad to have seen him and Haus but dadjim, that could have been really special for the few hundred people that attended. Bring your own lawn chair also detracted from the event. If you want to sit down and sip a beer why go to concert? A concert gives you the ability to be completely swept off your feet and lost in the music- total bond between band and audience. This show could have been so much more! That said, it did have a definite laid back family groove going on as children ran around and danced which was cool, but I wanted to rock out with one of the greatest —Sam Bush

It was fantastic, wish they were selling CD's at the show. Sam signed my LP from 1979 "New Grass Revival" and my Mandocaster ( 5 string electric Mandolin) on the body. Obviously I'm a 45 year fan. Saw him/them at Moe Lake Indian reservation Rhinelander, Wisconsin in 1979.

There's no doubt all five band members are impressive musicians, and their delivery all evening was musically impeccable. Though the addition of drums to bluegrass is unusual, it was convincing. But doubts arose in 3 places. Sam played one tune with only his guitar accompaniment. His voice appeared strained in the higher passages leading me to wonder why he set the capo at the 4th fret. For the last tune, the band switched to all electrical instruments, which meant that the banjo didn't sound like a banjo and the mandolin didn't sound like itself any more either. With that, they launched into something that sounded like what Cream did in the 1960's. Whatever that was supposed to be was not convincing. Finally, both the banjo and the bass player were somewhat underutilized throughout. In all, an interesting evening but not really convincing.

The show was awesome!! Sam never disappoints and his band was really great, too. I thought the Lyric Theater was a nice venue for a concert. The crowd was wonderful, except for those few people who have to keep going in and out for alcohol and the bathroom!

The artist and band were incredible. I have only heard music by Sam Bush, but seeing his dexterity and musicianship on the mandolin was pure joy! The acoustics were handled well by the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center. I would go again in a heartbeat! Clare

The Bush, Meyer, Meyer and Marshall concert was amazing !!! I’ve been to a lot of concerts and this was one of the best. All 4 of the artists are absolutely phenomenal musicians !!! I’m certainly thankful that I had this fantastic opportunity to enjoy these talented musicians !!!

Edgar and son George Meyer Sam Bush And Mike Marshall playing selections from the Celebrated Short Trip Home album… the phrase Musical Genius comes to mind, but this is accurate x’s 4. Musicianship unmatched. I’d pay Cash to watch this one over again

Superb. Sam was his usual energetic, professional, amazing self. His band was locked in, engaging and humorous. The oppening guitarist kevin Neidig was superb also. Great show and venue!

Sam bush show was great. The second band that played not sure of there name was also good. Frustrating on the EGG to lock the door down from the plaza to the parking garage to get back to the car. Had to go from a different location to the garage.

Thanks for an evening of good music, happy people, and letting people get up and dance. I felt like I was in my twenties again (which is a real feat in this 70 year old body.) A special thank you for honoring Leon Russell. I saw him many times and love his music so much. Great show Sam.

Sam Bush has his own band. Except at Strawberry, three of his band mates had come down with Covid. Sooo, Sam did a complete solo set for an hour-and -a-half. Phenomenal. He has the audience mesmerized. Thank you Sam, and the Strawberry Music Festival!!

Sam Bush and his band never disappoints! He I was very engaging with the audience and his music was outstanding! I can’t wait to see him again at Merlefest!

Wow! Studio perfect sound. 4 amazing musicians. Saw Sam Bush, Edgar Meyer, and Byron House(I think) way back when and this was as good or better! Wish I had a recording of this set!

Impeccable show, intimate venue. Sam clearly enjoys performing and his band was tight! They did some great covers and played some Newgrass Revival, which delighted the crowd. He was nice enough to sign some autographs after the show. It was a sold out show and it’s clear why!

It’s not letting me give it 5 stars!!! I would give it 10 stars. High energy and Sam killed it!! He played at least 2 hours or more!!! The crowd loved him. What an amazing musician!! He has the most fun!!

The Sam Bush Concert at Liepers Fork was awesome! Sam and his group put on one of the best musical performances I have had the opportunity to ever attend. It seemed that everyone else around me felt the same way. I would recommend this event to anyone who appreciates one of our country's best musical performers.

I have seen Sam twice in the last 6 months. Sam and his band are incredible performers. The performance at Denison was excellent and was held in a beautiful old church. Sam is JOY personified!!!

Sam and the Band brought it with a special all acoustic set at Rockygrass. Lots of John Hartford covers and a couple of cluster picks at the end with every musician backstage in Lyons.

Everyone was fantastic! Those guys can really play!! Sam Bush's voice is amazing. It's no wonder he has won all those awards and is considered one of the best in bluegrass and is the father of newgrass
